The word comes from West African culture and is known from the song Fanga Alafia, which is used to welcome people with open arms. The dance originates from Liberia and was traditionally used in ceremonies to honor both the earth and the sky. Today, Fanga is a symbol of unity, community and the power of doing things together.
In FANGA we show who we are, where we come from, and what we carry with us. Each actor on stage has their own story, and together we create something completely new! Music, dance and stories merge into an experience that you will feel in your body
